#SaveArtSpace Transforms Miami’s Outdoor Ads Into Public Art Space
#SAVEARTSPACE announces its second public art exhibition with an inaugural launch in Miami during Art Basel Week December 1-6, 2015. Previously in Brooklyn, New York during Bushwick Open Studios, #SAVEARTSPACE exhibited 12 local artists and community groups on 11 advertising billboard platforms.
For the projects’ debut in Miami, the organization is offering Florida artists the same outdoor exhibition opportunity during the art world’s most exciting and prestigious U.S. art show, Art Basel Miami Beach 2015.
For the exhibition in Miami, #SAVEARTSPACE will be transforming 8 advertising spaces. The current Open Call for Artists ends October 28th, submissions can be entered at saveartspace.org/take-action. #SAVEARTSPACE is 501(c)(3) non-profit art organization that operates on contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations.

The organization was co-founded by Brooklyn-based creatives, Travis Rix and Justin Aversano, dedicated to producing public art exhibitions, whereby transforming traditional advertising platforms such as outdoor billboards & bus shelter ads into ‪Public Art‬ for visual artists.
Selected artworks will be included in an exhibition during Miami Art Week in Wynwood, December 1-6, 2015. The exhibition will be on view from November 23 through December 20, 2015. Submission guidelines can be viewed here.
