Miami Design District Public Art Tours

Saturday, September 12th from 5-6pm join the Miami Design District for a free guided tour of the neighborhood’s world-renowned public art, architecture as well as temporary artist projects and exhibitions made possible by the district. For this tour, enjoy CURATED PROJECTS, which centers the curator and artist. The group will engage in conversation with artists and gallerists in their spaces, lending insight into the local art community including Place Miami Preview Edition, Piero Atchugarry’s sculpture exhibition, Pepe Mar’s Summer Studio, and more. Meet in front of the Fly’s Eye Dome on the first floor of Palm Court (enter at 140 NE 39th Street). This Event is Free & Open to the Public. RSVP here.

About your guide: An experienced art and architecture guide, Thom Wheeler Castillo has worked with various institutions throughout the region as a cultural ambassador and educator to bridge the gap between art and conversation, including the Peréz Art Museum Miami, O, Miami Poetry Festival, HistoryMiami, A.I.R.I.E. (Artist in Residence in the Everglades), the Rubell Museum, and the Department of Reflection.
