Celebrate Earth Day at WMODA

Saturday, April 17th from 10am – 1pm celebrate the beauty of the fired arts at (WMODA) Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts, see how the artists represented at WMODA are utilizing the four elements to breathe life into glass. Experience the opening of the museum’s newest exhibition, EARTH · AIR · FIRE · WATER, which highlights the four classical elements of EARTH, AIR, FIRE and WATER, that ancient philosophers believed were the fundamental building blocks of nature. The exhibit features Chihuly’s Macchia Garden in full bloom, Rob Stern’s Leaves of Glass and a Tidal Wave of glass by Josh Fradis. Enjoy family fun activities with special guests including art demonstrations, balloon sculpting, and a scavenger hunt with a Mermaid! FIRE your imaginations for EARTH day and EVERY day at WMODA.

Dania Beach City Commissioner Joyce Davis will be at WMODA from 10am to 2pm to invite you to help the EARTH in your own community. Meet Evan Snow and Stacy Brown from the 1000 Mermaids Project and hear about their next artificial reef deployment in Dania Beach.
