Miami International Fine Arts (MIFA) presents Three Spectacular Exhibitions – The Art of Mother Nature, Helio Salcedo: A Retrospective (1974–2024), and Marta Cueter: In the Shadow of Giants


Miami International Fine Arts (MIFA) is proud to present three (3) spectacular exhibitions on view February 6th through February 26th, 2025. Art collectors and aficionados are cordially invited to experience the Opening Receptions for The Art of Mother Nature, Helio Salcedo: A Retrospective (1974–2024), and Marta Cueter: In the Shadow of Giants on Thursday, February 6th from 6 – 9pm. Guests will be part of an artistic conversation that bridges creativity, sustainability, and cultural awareness. MIFA is located at 5900 Northwest 74th Avenue in Miami, Florida 33166.

Miami International Fine Arts (MIFA) presents The Art of Mother Nature, a captivating group exhibition that explores the profound connection between humanity and the natural world. Curated by Gustavo Scarrone and featuring works by Vivian Weinstein-Brisman, Yael Bitton, Yael Mizrahi, Karen Bibas, Clara Rivera, Diana Kullander, and Valerie Mafdali, this exhibition transforms the gallery space into a dynamic tribute to the resilience, beauty, and vulnerability of our planet. In collaboration with Anita Hausman Visual Arts. This exhibition is taking place at Miami International Fine Arts (MIFA), Room A-B.


“The Art of Mother Nature” showcases a diverse array of artistic expressions—including painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media—each offering a unique perspective on nature’s influence. Some works celebrate the grandeur of untouched landscapes, others address the environmental crises affecting our ecosystems, while some reflect on the healing power of nature in times of uncertainty. As both muse and metaphor, Mother Nature takes center stage in this thought-provoking exhibition, serving as a reminder that she is not merely a backdrop to our lives, but a living, breathing force that sustains us all. This exhibition is not just about observing nature—it is about engaging with it, questioning our impact, and acknowledging our responsibility to preserve and restore the delicate balance of our environment.

Miami International Fine Arts (MIFA) presents Helio Salcedo: A Retrospective (1974–2024), an exhibition celebrating the five-decade career of MIFA Printmaking Master and Director of the Printmaking Program, Helio Salcedo. This comprehensive showcase highlights his evolution as an artist, from traditional engraving to experimental printmaking, exploring Latin American identity, cultural memory, and social commentary with technical mastery and emotional depth. Exhibition is on view February 6 through February 26, 2025. Curated by: Joe Chirichigno.


A native of Cali, Colombia, Salcedo has exhibited in major institutions worldwide, including the Museo Rayo, the Library of Congress, and the Irish Museum of Modern Art. He has received numerous awards, including First Prize at the Fifth Latin American Graphics Biennial in Puerto Rico. As an educator, he has shaped the next generation of artists in Colombia, New York, and the Dominican Republic. This retrospective invites viewers to experience the evolution of an artist whose contributions have left a lasting impact on contemporary printmaking.

Miami International Fine Arts (MIFA) presents Marta Cueter: In the Shadow of Giants, a solo exhibition by Marta Cueter, running from February 6 to 26, 2025. This captivating showcase invites visitors to explore the profound connection between humanity and nature through Cueter’s interpretation of trees—magnificent natural giants that have inspired her since childhood. Curatorial Advisor: Marco Caridad. This exhibition is taking place at Miami International Fine Arts (MIFA), Room D.


This exhibition reflects Cueter’s artistic evolution since 2020, a period during which her practice flourished and expanded into diverse techniques and expressions. Her works delve into the interplay of strength and fragility embodied by trees, presenting them as metaphors for resilience, connection, and transformation. Each piece invites viewers to contemplate the timeless beauty of the natural world and reconnect with the silent grandeur of the trees that surround us. The exhibition serves as both a tribute and a call to reflection, encouraging audiences to recognize the intrinsic value of nature and the enduring power of trees as symbols of strength and renewal. Marta Cueter’s art transforms these natural giants into visual narratives that celebrate their elegance and the profound influence they have on our lives.
