6:30-8:30 PM / Film: Hamptons International Film Festival 25th Anniversary
Join us for the kick-off event of the 25th anniversary of the Hamptons International Film Festival (HIFF), which was founded to celebrate independent film, and attracts over 25,000 visitors to theaters across the New York communities of East Hampton, Southampton, Montauk, and Sag Harbor. HIFF has screened the eventual Best Picture Oscar winner in seven of the last eight years and is the only Festival on the East Coast with such a distinction. There will be a showing of the film Black Swan, for which Natalie Portman won a Best Actress Academy Award. Followed by a Q&A with Thérèse DePrez, production designer for Black Swan, who won the Art Directors Guild Excellence in Production Design Award for Contemporary Film and was nominated by BAFTA for Best Production Design for her work in the film. / Fisher Gallery
