Lowe Art Museum Exhibit: Tomás López

Thursday, May 25th from 7-9pm enjoy The Portrait Series: Photography Lecture and Reception with J. Tómas López at the University of Miami’s Lowe Art Museum. The Portrait Series is a new body of work by renowned photographer and distinguished professor J. Tomás López that features key figures in Miami’s arts and culture scene. Rendered in soft focus, these works are characterized by the hazy blending of facial features, hair, and clothing of their sitters, who are set against abstract tawny-amber backgrounds. Yet these subjects’ eyes are revealed in intense, hyper-focused detail. On view through September 17, 2017.
