Art Boca Raton 3rd Edition
Art Boca Raton fair returns March 15-18, 2018 to showcase premier contemporary work, modern masters, and emerging art, sculpture, and photography with an international selection of galleries committed to bringing world-class art and a close partnership with the Boca Raton Museum of Art & Art School.
Art Boca Raton’s third edition will take place in the International Pavilion of the Palm Beaches on the grounds of the Research Park at Florida Atlantic University. The 45,000 square foot exhibition venue includes a café and sculpture garden. The fair has expanded its offerings of events via partnerships with FAU Schmidt Art Center, Boca Raton Museum of Art and Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Residents.
Art Boca Raton opens with an exclusive Vernissage on March 14, 2018, to benefit the Boca Raton Museum of Art School sponsored by, Neiman Marcus, Andrea Kline, Robin May, Diane & Stanley Miller, Sokol Foundation, Lisa Marie Browne, Jody H. & Martin Grass, J.A.R Moeller LLC and Florence Paley. Celebrate the opening of Art Boca Raton with this exclusive “first look” at fair offerings, featuring cocktails and dinner-by-the-bite. Sponsorships and Premium Tickets range from $2,500 to $10,000. Single tickets are $150 each and may be purchased through the Museum at www.bocamuseum.org/vernissage.
Art Boca Raton the Museum extends its hours each evening with “Art After Dark” which includes special performances, lectures, and an opportunity to mingle with a glass of wine and refreshments with visiting featured art fair exhibiting artists, collectors, curators, and museum members. Held on March 15 & 16, from 6- 8 pm Museum will offer attendees complimentary admission and viewing of the featured exhibitions: Alex Katz: Small Paintings; George Ohr: The Greatest Potter on Earth and Contemporary Photography Forum.
The fair’s “Collector Forum” includes a full schedule of collector lectures, artist talks, book signings, and curatorial tours. Collectors and art lovers are encouraged to take time to immersive themselves in taking advantage of this immersive program to expand their knowledge and exposure to contemporary art and current trends in collecting art.
“Artists at Work” a full daily schedule of live demonstrations of art techniques by local artists and sketching sessions inviting guests to make as well as see art at the fair. Sponsored by ArtSynergy PB, the unique countywide organization of artists, businesses, and civic leaders committed to unifying and promoting the diverse culture of Palm Beach County’s and South Florida’s vibrant arts community. Scheduled demonstrations will include painting, watercolor, collage, printmaking and jewelry design.
“Gateway to the Arts in Boca” offers attendees a resource calendar of satellite events providing a number of learning opportunities supplementing the lecture program that will commence on-site. Attendees are encouraged to take advantage of this expanded schedule of events to include:

March 12, 11am-1 pm: Boca Museum Lecture & Lunch; Discovery of the Masterpieces of the Barnes Foundation.
March 15, 6-7 pm: Boca Museum Talk; Eugene Hecht, Ph. D. George Ohr the Greatest Potter on Earth.
March 18, 3-4 pm; Boca Museum Talk; Friends of the Uffiz Friends of the Uffizi Lecture Renaissance Florence and Influence Antiquity.
March 24, 2-5 pm: Chelsea Rousso, Glass fusing demonstration, Benzaiten Center for Creativity, Lakeworth.
The Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Residences offers Art Boca Raton collectors a community a preview of the showroom gallery with exhibitions by the visiting artists and offering attendees a first view and tour and presentation of the design of this international iconic 160 room hotel and 95 luxury residences planned for its 2020 opening.
