Friday, September 29th from 6 – 7:30pm join the Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami (MoCA NoMi) for a hands-on workshop led by Art on the Plaza artist, Sterling Rook. Participants will create a unique spray-dyed silhouette shirt, using a blend of stencils and mixed media techniques, drawing inspiration from by the artist’s signature palm imagery from Almost Home. About the artist:
Sterling Rook is a Miami native and Florida International University fine arts graduate. Their practice incorporates forged steel, painted palm fronds, and ropes made from repurposed clothing – redefining sculpture and fiber art.
