In 1952, the first Beaux Arts Festival of Art, originally called the “Clothesline Sale,” was held. This festival gave young artists a chance to meet the buying public. The Festival of Art became an annual project and is recognized as one of the leading art shows in the country and attracts acclaimed artists from all over the world. Beaux Arts is a volunteer organization whose purpose is to encourage an understanding and appreciation of the arts in South Florida through outreach programs and support of the Lowe Art Museum. Guests will enjoy a juried fine arts show that features art, crafts and a variety of media from more than 300 exhibitors on the University of Miami campus. Live music and other free entertainment, children’s art experiences, fabulous dining options, and free admission all weekend to the Lowe Art Museum.

Sculptor, painter and mixed media artist Norman Silva is a multidisciplinary artist whose work has been exhibited with galleries within South Florida and the United States. He received his Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland. He received his Master of Fine Arts degree from Florida Atlantic University.
