“My short summer residency at the Bakehouse focused on an exploration of motion, present at and around Studio J. By exploring the AC units and ceiling fan as driving forces for intermedia installations, observing the slow sprouting motion of plant cuttings, and freezing the motion in the Instability sculpture series, my aim is to highlight the various patterns, speeds, and shapes of available motion through objects and technologies. Principal materials consist of orchid growing artifacts such as pots, tags, wires and hooks, coming to life again in fantastical new expressions.”
This Event is FREE & Open to the Public. Please enter Bakehouse through the back gate, facing 33rd Street. Free parking is available along 32nd Street and 6th Avenue.
