Thursday, May 4th at 6:30pm join us for Compositum Musicae Novae‘s Metamorphosis Event, enjoy a night of music, art, dance, and theater at the beautiful Pinecrest Gardens. A free event featuring a wide variety of chamber ensembles performing new music by composers Garry Rider, Ferdinando De Sena, Federico Bonacossa, Gary Thomas, Stephanie Curcio, Miguel A. Nieves, Mario Davidovsky, and Orlando Garcia. Featured performers for the night will include choreographer and dancer Joanna M. Ursal, the Salted Earth Dance Ensemble, cellist Jason Calloway, pianist Jim Gasior, bassist Gary Thomas, drummer Michael Piolet, harpist Kristina Finch, harpist Kay Kemper, and the Music in Miami Chamber Ensemble. Guests will enjoy the famous art gallery showcasing the works of Melanie Sarria, Amanda Covach, Felipe Melendrez, Peter Olsen, Rachel Fontaine Morris, Meg Wallace, and Adria Llerena. The group’s first ever play will be featured by M.J. Fievre, directed by Gladys Ramirez, and featuring actors Amy Coker and Robert Fritz.
