July 18, 2019 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Thursday, July 18th from 8-9pm the Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum presents an Artist Talk with Lisa Haque at Books & Books in Coral Gables. Have you ever wondered how paper can be made into art? Join Miami-based artist Lisa Haque at Books & Books Coral Gables for an intimate conversation about her work and papermaking process. This event is Free and Open to the Public.
Haque was a Studio Collaborator and the Production Manager at Dieu Donné in Manhattan, where she worked with artists in residence to create new bodies of work. Prior to that, she was a papermaker and bookbinder at Brodsky Center for Innovative Editions at Rutgers University, where she collaborated with renowned artists such as Kiki Smith and Richard Tuttle to produce editioned artists’ books and works in handmade paper. Haque’s works are currently on view at the Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum in Spheres of Meaning: An Exhibition of Artists’ Books.
