Frost Science: Red, White, Blue… and Science!

Wednesday, July 4th from 9:30am – 8:30pm enjoy Red, White, Blue and Science at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science. Kick off Independence Day with a bald eagle meet-and-greet and then learn about the science behind fireworks. Celebrate the 4th with science! This Independence Day, Frost Science Museum is staying open late so you can spend more time exploring their newest exhibitions — like Power of Poison: From the Depths of the Sea to Your Own Backyard and Da Vinci – Inventions — and the thrilling new Frost Planetarium show, Journey to the Stars!
You’ll start your morning with a special meet-and-greet with an avian friend from the museum’s Batchelor Wildlife Center rehabilitation clinic — an American Bald Eagle! Learn unique biological facts about these majestic birds as well as conservation tips on how to ensure they continue to soar to stable populations.
Then, enter the MeLaβ for a presentation that’s sure to spark your curiosity: the “Science of Fireworks!” You’ll discover the science behind colorful combustions before enjoying expanded offerings of the museum’s “Spark of Science” program and “A Tale of Toxicology” live show in the Power of Poison theater. Science of Fireworks Showtimes: 12:15pm, 2:15pm, and 8pm.
