History Miami: Celebrate Historic Downtown Walking Tour with Dr. George

Saturday, April 20th from 10am – 12pm join HistoryMiami Museum in celebrating their 31st year of City Tours! Through walking, coach, and boat tour experiences, the Museum has welcomed tour participants on a memorable journey of our region’s history as they explored the many historic neighborhoods, landmarks, and sites throughout South Florida. Relive the past with the museum’s renowned Resident Historian, Dr. Paul George, as you experience the first tour ever led by the Museum. Delve into the storied past of Downtown Miami as you walk along historic Flagler Street. Hear tales of the area’s earliest known inhabitants, the Tequesta, as you view the Miami River. Learn the history of Miami’s founders – Julia Tuttle, Henry Flagler, and William and Mary Brickell.
