Locust Projects presents Practice + Process: Aaron T Stephan

Sunday, October 8th, 2017 at 4pm join us at Locust Projects for the closing day of the fall exhibitions which includes an illustrated talk by Portland, ME-based artist Aaron T Stephan. During his three week residency the artist built a life-sized facade of a 1920’s house constructed from 350 cement blocks he made from scratch. The Cement Houses and How to Build Them exhibition grapples with the American dream of homeownership in times of recession, the recent U.S. housing-market, and sustainabilty and economic inequity.
