Miami Film Festival & PAMM Screening of Lifeline: Clyfford Still
March 14, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Saturday, March 14th from 11am – 1pm join Miami Film Festival (MFF) and Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) for a special feature of Lifeline: Clyfford Still, directed by Dennis Scholl. Clyfford Still’s striking compositions and idiosyncratic personality made him one of the preeminent figures of the American Abstract Expressionist movement. Through interviews and previously unreleased recordings, Still’s artistic philosophy and his relationships with contemporaries Mark Rothko and Jackson Pollock are revealed. After his death, the legacy of the enigmatic artist faces further uncertainty, as museums vie to be the permanent home of the Still collection—if they can meet the strict demands of his will. Following the screening, film director Dennis Scholl and Thom Powers, MFF Senior Programmer of Documentary Cinema, will lead Q&A with the audience.
First come, first served; Seating begins 10:45am. RSVP here.
