NSU Art Museum Creativity Exploration: Weaving And Wellness
October 13, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
Saturday, October 13th from 12noon – 1:30pm experiment with Saori weaving, a Japanese weaving style that emphasizes individuality and dignity, while enjoying the rhythm of using a loom at NSU Art Museum. Studies have shown that just 45 minutes of creative activity a day can significantly reduce stress and improve mental clarity. NSU Art Museum’s Creativity Exploration series promotes the benefits of creative exploration and the mind-to-body experience. During these one-hour, interactive sessions led by art educator Lark Keeler, a specialist in mindfulness education, participants experience a sense of well-being, expand their perceptions of forms and improve brain connectivity through visual and cognitive stimulation.
$15 per person; $10 museum members. Limited seating. Advance reservations required. RSVP HERE.
This series supported by the Charles P. Ferro Foundation
