NSU Art Museum presents Frank Stella: Experiment and Change
November 11, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Saturday, November 11th from 6-8pm join us at NSU Art Museum for the opening reception of Frank Stella: Experiment and Change, an exhibition spanning the artist’s 60-year career from the later 1950’s to the present, featuring 300 paintings, relief sculpture and drawings that offer insight into Stella’s trajectory from minimalism (e.g. the geometry of the black paintings) to maximalism (e.g. the spatially complex constructionist and large sculptures of the Moby Dick series.) Curated by Bonnie Clearwater, Director and Chief Curator, Experiment and Change leads the museum’s 60th Anniversary celebration presented by AutoNation, and will be on view from November 12, 2017 to July 8, 2018.
The exhibition is presented by Dr. David and Linda Frankel and S. Donald Sussman and Michelle Howland.
Four Seasons Private Residences Fort Lauderdale and The Surf Club.
Additional support provided by the David and Francie Horvitz Family Foundation, Wege Foundation, Vontobel Swiss Wealth Advisors AG and Sandra Muss.
Free for museum members; $25 non-members. RSVP here or 954-262-0258.
