NSU Art Museum presents ‘Read Between The Wines’ Book Discussion: The Jive Talker by Samson Kambalu

Sunday, January 15th from 3-4pm enjoy January’s book discussion group at NSU Art Museum featuring the memoir of artist Samson Kambalu, whose exhibition, Nyau Cinema, is currently on view at NSU Art Museum. Recently named one of Europe’s 50 most exciting artists, in this compelling and often hilarious memoir, Samson Kambalu introduces us to the country of his birth, Malawi, and to his father, the “Jive Talker.” In this utterly original, often hilarious book, Kambalu paints a portrait of an impoverished nation where no dissent is tolerated, but also a country where a little boy obsessed with Michael Jackson, Footloose, Nietzsche & soccer can evolve into one of the most promising conceptual artists in the international art scene.
