Oolite Arts Family Style: Natalia Lasalle-Morillo + Alvis Hecheverría

Friday, September 27th at 7pm Oolite Arts wants you to come celebrate the final days of “It will never become quite familiar to you” with a screening, conversation and a family-style dinner at Supplement Projects. Natalia Lasalle-Morillo’s film holguín, hialeah documents the journey of Alvis Hecheverría, an 81-year-old woman who decides to leave Cuba and move to Hialeah after the passing of her husband. The screening will be followed by a conversation between Lasalle-Morillo and Hecheverría.

The conversation, which will take place at Supplement Projects, will expand on the themes of heritage and notions of home that are found at the core of the exhibition.
The conversation will be followed by light refreshments, drinks, and music.
