Oolite Arts presents Color Theory with Screen Printed Stencils

Thursday, November 14th from 10:30am – 2pm Oolite Arts presents a one-day workshop, Color Theory with Screen Printed Stencils. Think Henri Matisse. The master of the cut-out design – flowing shapes, dancers, and natural elements intermingling. In this one-day workshop, students will channel their inner Matisse as they utilize cutting and drawing techniques to create one-of-a kind stencils that can be screen printed on fabric or paper in overlapping layers.

The goal of this workshop is to consider the nuances of color theory, practicing mixing techniques and learning the properties inherent to particular color combinations. There will be a demo on mixing and achieving varying levels of translucency and opacity. Workshop: $60 / All materials included in this class. Instructor: Nick Mahshie.
