Saturday, April 13th from 10am – 11pm enjoy a free day at the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) when the PAMM Teen Arts Council (PTAC) invites you to That 80s Prom, the 2019 edition of PAMM’s yearly Teen Takeover, a full day of free art-related activities created by the museum’s very own PTAC members. Inside the museum, PAMM’s Youth Art Programs Exhibition will be on view all day. Inspired by Lorraine O’Grady’s work Art Is…, PTAC invites museum guests and families to make their own Prom Portraits as part of PAMM’s monthly free Second Saturdays. Outside on the terrace O, Miami’s “Advice Tent” will be on-site with poets providing live answers to the public’s most dire personal questions.
The Teen Takeover continues at night! Teens ages 13-18 are invited to a totally tubular experience, PTAC’s very own 80s inspired prom, in line with PAMM’s 35th Anniversary. Come back to the future and grab a slice of pizza while enjoying live-music and dancing.
Free and open to the public.
