Saturday, April 8th from 11am – 3pm in celebration of Pérez Art Museum Miami’s (PAMM) latest exhibition, Yayoi Kusama: LOVE IS CALLING, join PAMM for a day of free art and entertainment for guests of all ages. As part of PAMM Free Second Saturdays, admission is free all day. Art activities from 11am–3pm or until supplies last.
Start your day with a unique art-making activity, carefully crafted by PAMM teaching artists. Inspired by her signature polka dots, soft sculptures, and brilliant colors, create your very own “Infinity Puzzle.”
LOVE IS CALLING by Yayoi Kusama is the largest and the most immersive and kaleidoscopic of the artist’s Infinity Mirror Rooms. Inspired by her signature polka dots and soft sculptures’ brilliant colors, create your very own puzzle! Create a composition focused on color, illusion and shapes using a blank puzzle, stickers and color pencils. Break up the puzzle and then challenge yourself to put it back together!
Also, enjoy a performance by Fushu Daiko, highlighting traditional Japanese Taiko drumming, and meet local Japanese artist Harumi Abe, living and working here in South Florida, as she shares her work and artistic practice with visitors.
