Saturday, September 14th from 10am – 12pm The Frank C. Ortis Art Gallery and Exhibition presents a mixed media workshop. Artist Ronald Sánchez will demonstrate a variety of street art techniques merged with typography, masking and assemblage. Students will apply these methods to create an eye-catching work of contemporary art that is equal parts pop and urban art.
Sánchez is a mixed media conceptual artist based out of the Laundromat Art Space artist residency program in Miami. His artwork combines typography, tagging and other paint media with otherwise overlooked items from everyday life, such as reclaimed wood, street signs and other found objects.
This event is free to the public. All materials provided. No prior experience required. Ages: 12yrs+
PLEASE NOTE: Workshop spots are on a first come, first serve basis. The Frank can accommodate 25 guests for each workshop presented unless otherwise stated. Due to limited capacity, additional guests and observers will not be permitted.
