Saturday, December 4th from 10am – 4pm the (WMODA) Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts in Dania Beach invites you to enjoy ‘Through the Looking Glass’ and explore the Fired Arts in the WMODA Wonderland event introducing Resonance, a collaboration between Miami glass artist, Rob Stern, and multidisciplinary artist, Dave Rosenthal. Glass and sound will unite in their improvisational dialogue with various glass instruments and keyboard responses. Their innovative performances at 12:30pm and 2pm will symbolize the cycle of life and creation in the glassmaking process. This Event is Free & Open to the Public: https://www.wmoda.com/through-the-looking-glass-into-a-wmoda-wonderland/
Guests will experience the unveiling of the museum’s Mannequin Project featuring artists working in the community. Meet the artists in the Hot Glass gallery at WMODA and find out about their creative processes for museum silent partners. One of the featured mannequin’s ‘The Queen of Hearts’, was created by internationally collected artist Lloyd Goradesky, representing his beloved public art project Let LOVE Guide Your Way.
Inspired by the WMODA Wonderland theme, Judith Rudin created a miniature Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, Alex Meiklejohn will be creating miniature ceramics on the potter’s wheel, Josh Fradis has created hearts of glass, and Suzanne Barton will be showcasing her series of underwater photographs of Alice’s adventures in Wonderland.
