Experience Skip Hartzell’s Dogs at “The Satellite” Pop-up Space at CityPlace presented by the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County

Experience Skip Hartzell’s Dogs at CityPlace in West Palm Beach. The Cultural Council of Palm Beach County debuted “The Satellite,” pop-up exhibition and event space at CityPlace in November 2018 and will be on view through the Spring of 2019.

Located in the WPB Collective space across from the fountain, “The Satellite” features “Reimagine,” a special exhibition of solo artists and samplings of past main exhibitions from the last six years. There will also be a sample from the current show at its Lake Worth headquarters.

Visitors will enjoy Skip Hartzell’s Dogs at CityPlace during the “Reimagine” exhibition along with several selected Palm Beach artists listed below. South Florida artist Skip Hartzell‘s passion and love of dogs in unlimited configurations are joined in his paintings, works on paper and four-legged sculptures.

Dina Baker Fund for Mature Female Artists Grantee: Selected Paintings from Debra Yates (2018, Debra Yates).

“I chose these artists and vignettes because each one has a unique place in the Council’s history,” said Nichole Hickey, manager of artist services and the show’s curator. “CityPlace is the perfect location to bring these selections because it provides local artists with important exposure to guests from around the world. I’m excited to showcase the Council’s work in this new, creative way.”

This is the first pop-up exhibition by The Council since it moved into its Lake Worth headquarters in 2012. All artwork in the show is for sale and benefits artists in Palm Beach County.

The space also includes a visitor information center, an art and design lecture series and special events and programming from local cultural organizations. Located at 701 S. Rosemary Avenue, Suite 116, West Palm Beach, Florida (just off the main plaza.
