Get Ready for an Exciting and Interactive Celebration of the Studio 18 Resident Artists Takeover Exhibition!
Art lovers and art enthusiasts are invited to experience an exciting and interactive celebration of the Studio 18 Resident Artists Takeover Exhibition on Saturday, November 16th from 3 – 7pm. This special event is a dynamic fusion of open studios, hands-on workshops, and a lively reception, all coming together for a night of art, creativity, and community. The Studio 18 Artist Takeover exhibition is on view October 25, 2024 – January 11, 2025.
Explore the exhibition, which showcases a diverse array of works from the talented Studio 18 Resident Artists, spanning painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, and more. The show delves into themes of identity, memory, and transformation, offering a glimpse into the unique creative journeys of each artist. Guests will enjoy Open Studios & Workshops – wander through the Studio 18 artist studios and take part in free workshops led by Resident Artists. Learn to create realistic textures in drawing or craft your own affirmation collage, all while discovering the inspiration behind the works in the exhibition.
There is no pre-registration for workshops, all workshops are on a first come, first serve basis. Enjoy a free, drop-in activity in the main gallery throughout the day. Whether you want to get hands-on in a workshop, meet the artists, or simply soak in the atmosphere, this event is a perfect way to experience art in action and celebrate the creative community of the Studio 18 Art Complex in the City of Pembroke Pines. Studio 18 Art Complex is an 11,000 sq ft. multi-faceted art space offering affordable studios for emerging and mid-career artists. The complex showcases compelling and innovative artwork, serving the community by presenting varied exhibitions, workshops, and events year round. The resident artists participate in exhibitions throughout the year drawing crowds of people, while also enjoying 24-hour secure access and the ability to teach their craft in classrooms and have full use of the artists’ lounge.
