Love, Despair and Longing at ArtMedia Gallery in the Wynwood Arts District

Join us on May 21, 2015 from 7-10pm at ArtMedia Gallery in The Wynwood Building for the opening reception of  Love, Despair and Longing – documenting New York and Paris from 1962 – 1968. The exhibit reveals stunning, never before seen photographs by Peter Emanuel Goldman, globally acclaimed Filmmaker and photographer. The photographs in this exhibition were recently discovered, unboxed and meticulously restored after decades long storage. Peter Emanuel Goldman made several films in the 1960’s, the first of them was Echoes of Silence, which received worldwide acclaim by filmmakers and critics of the new generation. In the Village Voice, Jonas Mekas praised “the mastery and feeling that he (Goldman) managed to put into his first work.” Susan Sontag called the artist “the most exciting new filmmaker in recent years.”

Love, Despair and Longing | New York – Paris 1962-68 opens on May 21st and runs through July 12, 2015 at ArtMedia Gallery in the Wynwood Arts District.
