Perrier & Street Artist JonOne Unveil Miami Art Week Mural

Perrier unveiled a new mural in Miami’s Wynwood Arts District yesterday, Dec. 3rd by contemporary artist JonOne for Art Basel Miami Beach 2014. The new mural is located at 2407 NW 2nd Avenue, it marks JonOne’s first outdoor installation in the U.S. in ten years. JonOne is an American graffiti artist, born in New York, working and living in Paris for many years. His new installation comes on the heels of Perrier’s ‘Inspired by Street Art‘ limited-edition collection, of which JonOne created a custom design for the brand’s iconic green glass bottles.

The new work is representative of the artist’s explosive signature style, combining bold, abstracted messages and bright harmonized color schemes. His Perrier mural is on display during Miami Art Week at 2407 NW 2nd Avenue, on the corner of NW 24th Street and NW 2nd Avenue in Wynwood. JonOne’s latest collaboration with Perrier comes on the heels of the brand’s ‘Inspired by Street Art‘ limited-edition collection. Launched in September 2014, Perrier enlisted the talents of JonOne and two other influential artists from the international street art community, Kobra and Sasu, to create custom designs for Perrier bottles and cans.

Regarded as one of the godfathers of the street art community, JonOne was born and raised in New York City and began his journey as an artist emblazoning subway cars with his abstract murals in the 1980s. Eventually relocating to Paris in 1987, JonOne has evolved his innate, impulsive and animalistic style beyond the streets, now also showing his work in galleries and museums across the globe.
