1. The Frank Art Gallery in Pembroke Pines

Check out two spectacular, must-see summer exhibitions at the Frank C. Ortis Art Gallery from June 20, 2024, through August 24, 2024. Yuyi Morales in “Soñadora” and Aurora Molina & Stella Gaia Vandermey’s “Imaginary Tapestries”. The Frank Gallery, located at 601 City Center Way in Pembroke Pines, Florida 33025.

Discover the enchanting world of Yuyi Morales in Soñadora, organized by the National Center for Children’s Illustrated Literature. This showcase celebrates Morales’ journey and her vibrant storytelling. Soñadora comprises more than sixty mixed-media artworks from fourteen of Yuyi Morales’ books that will enliven and inspire viewers of any age. Aurora Molina and Stella Gaia Vandermey’s exhibition, Imaginary Tapestries, aims to explore the intricate tapestry of familial connections, childhood memories, and the transformative power of artistic expression. The exhibition will be a multi-layered narrative, weaving together the stories of Aurora Molina, her daughter Stella Gaia Vandermey, and the diverse voices of Aurora’s Atelier Students. Through fiber art, mixed media installations, and curated works, the exhibition will offer a journey through the past, present, and future, highlighting themes of resilience, identity, and belonging.



2. Pérez Art Museum Miami on Biscayne Bay

Kick off your Fourth of July weekend and festivities at Pérez Art Museum Miami. Enjoy sounds by the Taylor Byrd Band, art-making activities, happy hour specials (5–8pm), and BBQ favorites for purchase from Verde before finding your spot for local fireworks on the bay! Pursuing his love of music at the University of Miami, he has made music his full-time job, playing in the greater Miami area and abroad for the last 15 years. Byrd has shared his talents with recording artists, studios, festivals, and concert stadiums. His sound blends classic rock, Americana, country, and folk. Free with RSVP. 3. Progressive Art Brunch in Miami’s Wynwood Art District

Capitalizing on the Sunday brunch concept, the galleries will offer a separate dish at each location that will run simultaneously throughout the day. Facilitated by the creative voices of the galleries involved, the event will highlight the current programming at each venue and enable visitors a more intimate look at the exhibitions on view. The galleries are located in the Little Haiti and Little River Arts Districts.




4. Art Deco Walking Tour by the Miami Design Preservation League

Experience the Official Art Deco District Walking Tour presented by the Miami Design Preservation League. This 1.5 to 2-hour walking tour provides an introduction to the Art Deco, Mediterranean Revival, and Miami Modern (MiMo) styles found within the Miami Beach Architectural Historic District. 5. NSU Art Museum in Fort Lauderdale presents ‘Museums On Us’

Saturday, July 6th (11am – 5pm) and Sunday, July 7th (12pm – 5pm) NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale presents Bank of America Museums on Us. Bank of America, Merrill Lynch and U.S. Trust credit and debit cardholders receive free access to over 200 institutions. Cardholders will receive free admission on the first full weekend of each month. Cardholders need only present their card and a photo ID to gain a free general admission. 1 E Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33301.

6. Wynwood Art District Second Saturdays Art Walk

Enjoy the Wynwood Art District Second Saturday Art Walk. Experience open galleries, studios and alternative art spaces throughout the district; located just north of downtown between 23rd and 30th streets and NW 2nd Avenue.

This Summer: Saturday, July 13th and Saturday, August 10th from 7 – 11pm.




7. History Fort Lauderdale presents ‘Wild Florida’

History Fort Lauderdale, proud steward of our community’s past by making our heritage accessible and engaging to residents and visitors, will present “Wild Florida” from Thursday, July 11 through Sunday, September 8, 2024. This free summer exhibit will feature impressionist fine art landscapes by Tim Forman along with traditional and modern interpretations of wildlife by local artists Stephanie McMillan, Kim Heise, Rosemary Fineberg, and Stephanie Leyden.


A free meet and greet with the artists will take place on Thursday, July 11th from 6 – 8pm, at the New River Inn Museum of History building at (231 Southwest Second Avenue in Fort Lauderdale, Florida). Complimentary light bites and beverages will be provided.




8. Bailey Contemporary Arts in Pompano Beach

Experience Lunch with Art: The Visual Arts Edition at Bailey Contemporary Arts Center (BaCA), on Wednesday, July 3rd from 12:15 – 1:15pm. BaCa is a gallery space and an incubator for artistic innovation and education located in the heart of Pompano Beach’s creative district at 41 NE 1st Street in Pompano Beach, Florida 33060. Guests are invited to bring their lunch.

9. The Bass Museum Miami Beach

Enjoy Summer Thursdays at The Bass with evening museum hours from 6 – 9pm EVERY Thursday starting June 6th through September 29th. Take a sunset stroll through Collins Park and then stop by Miami Beach’s contemporary art museum for an evening of inspiration.

Miami Beach residents, military personnel, museum members and more enjoy FREE admission. Admission is also reduced for seniors, students and kids.




10. Burgess Modern + Contemporary on Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale

Burgess Modern + Contemporary presents ‘INK: 75 Years of Prints‘, a summer exhibition that showcases a dynamic collection of fine art prints, limited editions, and numbered series spanning several generations and artistic movements. Featuring works by: Derrick Adams, Marc Chagall, The Connor Brothers, Salvador Dali, Alex Katz, Joan Miro, Jedd Novatt, Pablo Picasso, Ugo Rondinone, Carlos Rolon, David Salle, Kenny Scharf, Frank Stella, Donald Sultan, and Nicole Wittenberg. Opening Reception on Friday, July 19th from 6 – 9pm at Burgess Modern + Contemporary at 822 E. Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33301.


Curatorially inspired by the celebrated Alex Katz’s “60 Years of Printmaking” exhibition in Paris, “INK: 75 Years of Prints” at Burgess Modern + Contemporary explores the dialogue between historical finesse and contemporary boldness. On view July 19 through August 19, 2024. Each artwork offers a unique narrative and showcases a spectrum of styles and techniques. From Marc Chagall’s dreamlike lithographs to Salvador Dalí’s surrealist masterpieces, and from Alex Katz’s striking portraits to Joan Miró’s playful abstractions, this exhibition promises to captivate art lovers and collectors alike.

On Thursday, July 11th from 11am – 7pm enjoy Sunny Days/Starry Nights at NSU Art Museum. Due to Sunny Days/Starry Nights falling on July 4th, Free First Thursday will become Free Second Thursday in July! Enjoy FREE Museum admission and 2-for-1 All Day Happy Hour from 11am to 7pm during Sunny Days/Starry Nights. From 4 – 6:30pm Artist-in-residence, Dimithry Victor, will open his studio in the Museum. Stop by to chat with the artist and view his works-in-progress.

12. Grand Opening of NAEMI Gallery in Wynwood

The South Florida Wellness Network in collaboration with The National Art Exhibitions by the Mentally Ill (NAEMI) invites you to the opening of their new location and the NAEMI Gallery space located at 3408 NW 7 Avenue in Miami, Florida 33127. NAEMI will present the exhibition “Against the Current Outsider Art”, an exploration of works created by outsider artists recovering from behavioral health issues.


The exhibit will be on view August 8 through September 30, 2024. Participating artists include: Candice Avery USA, Issac Crespo Cuba, Lisa Chuan Lee Cheng USA, Echo USA, Ramon Losa SPAIN, Misleidys Castillo Pedroso CUBA, Jorge Alberto Cadi (El Buzo) CUBA, Sebastián Ferreira PARAGUAY, Yaniel Agrafojo CUBA, Gloria de la Caridad García CUBA, Damas USA.




13. Doral Cultural Arts Center Mosaic Workshop

The City of Doral presents an Art After Dark Workshop, Polymer Clay Jewelry Making Class, on Wednesday, July 17th from 5:30 – 8:30pm at the Doral Cultural Arts Center. This polymer clay experience provides a unique space for beginners to jump into the art while finding a connection of peace, hope, and healing. Throughout the session, you’ll have the opportunity to choose the color of polymer clay and explore a variety of tools to unleash your creativity.


Workshop is limited to only 30 participants on a first come basis. Don’t miss out on this fun workshop where you’ll get to create stunning jewelry pieces. Free parking available at City Hall Parking Garage, 8401 NW 53rd Terrace in Doral, Florida 33166 until 9pm.
